Calling all middle school students with an interest in STEM! Maggie L. Walker Governor's School's robotics team, FRC Team 422, the Mech Tech Dragons, is hosting a community event for local 6th-8th grade students to inspire their interest in STEM through hands-on demonstrations and activities. By getting you in contact with STEM organizations in the area, we hope to open your eyes to an extracurricular activity in which you can participate or even a future career path.

Where: Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies 1000 N Lombardy St, Richmond, VA 23220

When: Saturday, December 1st from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Who: Any middle school student who wants to learn more about STEM

Come participate in workshops hosted by local STEM organizations such as the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority, STEAMtrix, and VCU's DaVinci and Hyperloop!

11:05-11:40 Second presentation block (35 minutes)

11:45-12:20 Third presentation block (35 minutes)

12:25-1:20 Lunch (55 minutes)

1:25-2:00 Fourth presentation block (35 minutes)

Teacher Supply Store

This event supports the Teacher Store, a one stop shop for all of Richmond City Public Schools' teachers and school administrators. The purpose of the Teacher Supply Store is to decrease the personal investment teachers make every year to ensure there are enough supplies for students and the classroom.
